New Plan from Yahoo!

Yahoo! plans to create new services in real-time search engine that works with the OneRiot Company. This site is web search site that provides searching news, video and blog using PulseRank. OneRiot focused search to answer the question, what is happening now? This search engine so that shared with Digg, Twitter and other web social users. OneRiot headquarters of the Company in Boulder, Colo. and has offices in San Francisco.

This action will make the competition in real-time search engine become hot, because it had an agreement before the development of real-time search engine from Google and Microsoft's (Bing) who work directly with Twitter and Facebook. Let's see what happens .. Will Yahoo! lose again and closing a number of their portfolio again? :-(

Goodbye Geocities :-(

will be closed today. This is a tough decision that will be conducted by Yahoo! This free Personal web site hosting service starting in 1995 and later taken over by Yahoo! in the year 1999. This takeover is based on the position in a big 3 behind AOL and Yahoo! in the year 1998 as reported by CNNMoney with 18 million unique users.

There are various stories about this GeoCities, this is one of the early history of blogging. We can save anything and share with another with our web address (in today's known by blog). Being enfolded popularity is what caused GeoCities was acquired by Yahoo!

Being popular had caused a lot of ideas occur in creative and innovative growth and continue to be developed, among others, the idea of creating a guest book , and also visitor counter is started from GeoCities. To see the progress in the development of this creative process, please click HERE.

With so many online sites that completes itself and became a popular causing the traffic drop in GeoCities, according to comScore in September, a decline of 16% from 16.1 million to 12.3 million unique users. By closing GeoCities, Yahoo! hopes free traffic there will increase the traffic back to Yahoo!

But we can clearly see the failure of Yahoo! to maintain his assets in competition with Google. Yahoo! still be remembered as the most popular web search in the '90s . But not in terms of marketing. Let we see, look at the previous existing Yahoo! 360, My Web, Yahoo! Briefcase was closed. My question is, why Yahoo not selling Geocities? GeoCities is still a lot of people who want to buy it. Good-bye GeoCities .. I will always remember the times when surfing to find something in cyberspace with you. :-)

Yes ... Yahoo! never knew the value of a GeoCities :-(
